Saw two good movies (Gran Turino and Marley & Me.) and one really bad movie today (Dragonball Evolution).

Gran Turino is the first Clint Eastwood movie I've ever seen, and it was amazing. Are all of his movies like that? Filled with some awesome one-liners (I used to stack Gooks like you 5 feet high
and use your bodies for sand bags.) and all around grit?

Marley and Me was a hell of a lot better than I though a movie with Jennifer Anniston and Clive Owen (is that the guys name?) would be. That's all I'm going to say.

I want to know whoever thought it would be a good idea to make a live-action Dragonball movie and make Goku white (and turn him into a monkey WITHOUT A TAIL), Yamcha an asian gangster, Bulma a dual-weilding gunner, and Hummers that transform into a flying hovercraft. I know there is no way there could ever be a GOOD live-action Dragonball movie (the series itself from DBZ and on is shit), but they could have at least LOOKED at the source material a little more than just Goku and the Kamehameha Wave. And I thought that anything Uwe Boll did was bad...

Back out to sea, to finally start my yearly 3 month deployment. Have a few good port visits lined up, which I am excited for. I just wish I could be there for my developing kid. We MIGHT find out the sex of the kid in a few weeks. We were thinking Darius/Ike/Vance for a boy's name, and Kairi if it's a girls name. What do you guys think? Right now, he/she is the size of an avacado, and the longer this carries on, the more excited I get for some strange reason.

Hong Kong was....interesting.

First day I actually had liberty: Went out, explored, got treated like a king at a massage parlor, bought some stuff, learned about the Filipino Shuffle, and got drunk.

Second day: Went to Hong Kong park and the Sky Tram, braved what I called the Gauntlet several times looking for a foot reflexology place, finally found one and got a foot reflexology massage, braved the gauntlet a few nore times, fought off several BUY ME DRINK BABEEEE girls while my friend dealt with them in his own manner, and drank some more.

To explain the Gauntlet a bit: it's basically a strip od BUY ME DRINK bars, where usually the Mama-san (the woman in charge of the BUY ME DRINK girls) will stand outside and grab any Sailor she sees, saying something along the lines of, "WE HAVE PRETTY GIRL, COME SEE!" If you try to pull away, they just pull back harder. Rinse and repeat about 10 times per side of the street, for about 4 streets. You finally manage to pull away, and the next one will just grab you and the cycle repeats itself all over again. I had to resort to smacking at their hands anytime they tried to grab at me, which they got the hint that I DON'T CARE IF YOU HAVE PRETTY GIRLS, LEAVE ME ALONE.

Going back this summer, next time I'll experience some of the actual culture and whatnot.

Oh, and I downloaded Incrdibad by the Lonely Island. A funny album with a few misses (anything by the 2 Normal Guys) and some major hits (Dick in a Box, I'm On A Boat, Jizz in My Pants, Sax Man, and Lazy Sunday stick out).

One final note: I am this close to finally completing my astronomy class. It feels good to be taking college classes again.

I cannot stand running on treadmills. It''s for the same reason why I couldn't stand track: because it's boring, repetitive, and the time expired while running seems to take a lot longer than it actually does.

Just recently, however, I discovered a somewhat hidden memory that suddenly motivated me to stay on the treadmill for longer than 10 minutes. ironically enough, it happened while I was debating whether or not I should get off the damn thing because I was getting bored.

About 10 minutes into the run, I suddenly remembered the first cross-country race I ever won. It was the meet at Sante Fe Indian School my senior year. I remember staying in about 5th for the first half of the race, then suddenly picking it up and overtaking everybody else. As tired as I was, I could hear the guy about 10 paces behind me, and I could see everybody that was cheering for him was screaming almost directly behind me. No matter what, though, I was not going to let him catch up to me, even though my legs were screaming. That final stretch seemed to take forever, because I could think about was how I was not going to give up first, no matter the cost. When I finally burst through the finish line, it had turned out that second place was a good 10-20 seconds behind me (he had slowed down quite a bit).

The only feeling that has topped what I felt that day was when I won the state meet for USAT&F in Cuba a few months later.

I still hate treadmills, though.

So today I begin the long, hard road to becoming a Naval Officer. This means retaking the SAT's and ACT's, getting together s shitload of paperwork, and actually getting accepted, hopefully by June of this year.

My top three colleges to go to if I do get accepted into it:

First, the minor thing. The only PSP game I have really wanted, "DISSIDEA: FINAL FANTASY" comes out tomorrow here in Japan. For those of you not in the know, it's a fighting game that mixes Kingdom Heart with the action scenes from FFVII: Advent Children. It features the main protagonist and main antagonist from Final Fantasy 1-10, and it looks fun as hell.

Second, MY WIFE FINALLY ARRIVES IN JAPAN TOMORROW. I DON'T THINK I NEED TO SAY ANYTHING MORE ABOUT THIS.

PLOT OF 50 CENT'S GAME REVEALED

They said the plot to the game is about 50 Cent having a concert in Iraq, and the only payment he can get is a crystal skull, which is stolen afterwards

He goes on a rampage to get datskull and discovers that the skull is an artifact sacred to Al-Queda. Al-Queda have been after the skull since the start and don't give a shit about America or terrorism, they just want that skull.

Eventually the goddamn Illuminati gets roped in and 50 Cent goes to arms against them, and discovers the terrorist and wartime activities of the last few years have been a secret war between the Illuminati and Al-Queda over the skull.

The game ends with 50 Cent making the Illuminati and Al-Queda leaders sign a peace treaty to end war and terrorism globally, at gun point.

He goes home with the skull and the world is in peace.

Im kind of glad I had duty today, with today being the date the Japanese bombed us and all. I won't be the least bit surprised if I hear about some major liberty incident in the morning. WIsh I could have gone out to sing a bit of karaoke, though. I've become somewhat of a karaoke junkie lately, out in the town and in Rock Band.

I''ve recently become involved in a mecha campain. Long story short, I am the sole reason why a major is breaking out right now, and now two of the other players are out for blood against my character. It's kind of a long story that doesn't even involve me.

Today I go to sign for my house. Nice little two-story about 20 minutes away from the base. While things may not go the way I want them once I actually get the house ( in terms of my becoming an ET), at this point it doesn't matter. Out of the past 10 months I've been married, I've actually physically been with Dorinda for 1.
